Nikola Krsmanović (34), a member of the border police, was killed in Loznica when he was shot by Albanian Hajziri Artan (33).
The father of the slain policeman, Milenko, who is a farmer, and mother Ljiljana, who works as a cleaner in the chest department of the hospital in Loznica, are at their home in Jarebice completely silent with grief.
Both of them have been in shock since last night, and from tears, pain, and suffering they do not have the strength to speak because their son is no longer with them.
Relatives and acquaintances are arriving at the Krsmanović house to offer their condolences. Nikola also has a sister who was in Switzerland when she received the sad news.
Hajziri Artan (33), after being stopped by the border police, claimed that he was going to visit a friend in Loznica, and after the MUP officers asked him to show them the purse he was carrying, the Albanian opened fire and killed Krsmanović, while injuring his colleague Vjekoslav Ilić (50) in the process.
